The ability to read and write is something most of us take for granted. However, for thousands of Quebecers many freedoms and opportunities are frustratingly out of reach.
The Literacy Centre has been helping children, teens and adults challenged with literacy skills, since 1981. If you know someone who has difficulties with reading, writing, math or basic computer or tablet use; we can help. The Literacy Centre can help fill in the learning gaps by offering personalized, private lessons.
This service is free of charge and confidential.
The Laurentian Literacy Centre is a non-for-profit volunteer organization dedicated to improving basic and functional proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, listening, literacy, numeracy and life skills.
Our programs are adapted to the needs and goals of adults, youth and families, and are designed to improve the socio-economic health and quality of life of residents in the Laurentian Region.
